Business Development Manager — Marine Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Development Manager — Marine to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, develop and grow existing client base;
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer comments;
- Assist with the compilation and submission of quotations/tenders;
- Source and secure tenders;
- Identify, explore and follow up on all opportunities within the market;
- Explore opportunities on the East Coast of Africa;
- Compile, maintain and update marketing- and sales strategy plans;
- Monitor and maintain dry-dock bookings;
- Identify opportunities abroad for fabrication and offshore work;
- Assist with general company advertising and promotional campaigns;
- Actively pursue new business with clients and agents;
- Work closely with the divisions and offshore teams;
- Prepare and present quarterly business development plans;
- Actively market the new dock internationally;
- Maintain good relations with the Port Authorities.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be willing to travel both locally & international;
- Commercially experienced at tenders and terms and conditions of contract;
- A relevant B-qualification in marketing and/or mechanical engineering will be an advantage;
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
