Our company is looking for a Business Development Manager — Marine to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, develop and grow existing client base;
  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer comments;
  • Assist with the compilation and submission of quotations/tenders;
  • Source and secure tenders;
  • Identify, explore and follow up on all opportunities within the market;
  • Explore opportunities on the East Coast of Africa;
  • Compile, maintain and update marketing- and sales strategy plans;
  • Monitor and maintain dry-dock bookings;
  • Identify opportunities abroad for fabrication and offshore work;
  • Assist with general company advertising and promotional campaigns;
  • Actively pursue new business with clients and agents;
  • Work closely with the divisions and offshore teams;
  • Prepare and present quarterly business development plans;
  • Actively market the new dock internationally;
  • Maintain good relations with the Port Authorities.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be willing to travel both locally & international;
  • Commercially experienced at tenders and terms and conditions of contract;
  • A relevant B-qualification in marketing and/or mechanical engineering will be an advantage;
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
