Our company is looking for a Development Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach software developers on software development best practices;
  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver new;
  • Ensure that teams have access to the resources they need, such as computing systems, development tools and communications;
  • Work with the business owners on planning and preparing for new projects;
  • Identify the skills needed for each development project and prepare a resourcing plan;
  • Provide management presentations and reports;
  • Monitor progress and conduct regular team meetings to review progress and to identify potential obstacles to completion;
  • Contribute to architecture, instrumentation, & performance decisions;
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning;
  • Work closely with business managers / SME’s to identify the requirements for new software applications;
  • Take a hands-on role in software development;
  • Monitor quality to ensure that products meet their technical and business objectives;
  • software or upgrade existing application;
  • Lead a team of developers in developing and implementing application features which directly drive value;
  • Organize training programs and monitor the performance of team members.

Requirements:

  • Construction background;
  • BSc / BTech in Property Studies or similar;
  • 8+ years experience;
  • Experience in the commercial office space sector;
  • Property Studies, Quantity Surveying or Project Management qualification or similar;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience;
  • Must adhere to minimum performance standards – APS;
  • Must have passed the Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5);
  • Must have a relevant NQF4/5 level qualification as per the FSB list of approved qualifications;
  • Current Sales Managers need a good track record in recruitment and development of their teams;
  • Should be comfortable in applying the sales process;
  • Have strong administrative capabilities;
  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager could be beneficial;
  • Should have a good working knowledge of X Plan;
  • Preferably 24 month’s service as a Financial Advisor.
