Our company is looking for a Duty Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge on Cape Town (Tourist attractions, popular restaurants);
  • Guest room checks, checking public areas for cleanliness & deal with maintenance issues;
  • Candidates who are able to live-in and have successfully completed their probation will be considered;
  • You must have worked on PMS systems before (Semper, Nightsbridge or similar);
  • Maintain your allocated portfolio;
  • Reservations experience, admin & telephone etiquette is extremely important;
  • Be trustworthy, presentable, neat & fluent in English;
  • Daily/Month ly Reports and Stock take;
  • Bilingual with good communication skills;
  • It will include supervising the setup of, and service at, all meals and beverage servings;
  • Familiar with all operational aspects of Front Office, including Reservations;
  • Due to the nature of this position (Live-in, rent free), single candidates would be preferred;
  • Guest orientation, Hosting;
  • Assist in the day to day management of the hotel Operations to include front office, Housekeeping, F&B Service Levels, Administration,
  • Due to the nature of this position (Live-in), male single candidates would be preferred.

Requirements:

  • Must be computer literate on MS Office suite — a minimum of 2 yrs. previous working experience in Hospitality 2 years’ experience in similar role;
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or other related fields;
  • Polite, friendly person that can think on their feet;
  • Strong management skills. Ability to deal with guests;
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
  • Pro-Active and Professional and well Presented;
  • Valid South African Drivers licence;
  • Preferably previous experience with Apex / Pluspoint;
  • Well spoken and well presented individual;
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Proficient in use of the application of Up-Sell and Cross Sell Strategies;
  • Good all-rounder required;
  • Must have grade 12;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Strong F&B and Hosting skills.
