Equity Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Equity Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain coverage of companies by timeously updating our fundamental database and providing feedback on news flow;
- Prepare insightful research reports and presentations for the broader investment team;
- Build financial models for companies to provide financial forecasts;
- Prepare supporting materials for the client report backs and roadshows;
- Attend company visits to meet with management to gain a deeper knowledge of the company and its operating environment;
- Conduct research of competitor companies to enhance knowledge of the industry and the competitive behavior of the various role players.
Requirements:
- Previous transaction experience on either the buy or sell side;
- Ca(sa)/mba/cfa;
- Private Equity, Investment Banking or Corporate Finance Experience;
- Minimum 4 years experience as a Equity Analyst (Sell Side or Buy Side),
- 1 5 Years Equity Analyst experience (non-negotiable);
- Strong financial and accounting background: Preference for CFA or CA,
- CA (SA) or CFA Level II;
- Experience with international investors is desirable,
- Available to travel to meet internationally clients;
- Modelling, market analysis and research required.
