Our company is looking for a Senior Audit Manager (Financial Services) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage an audit portfolio of insurance, asset management and unit trust clients in South Africa and Southern Africa;
  • Accountable for the final file review in preparation for partner sign off after the completion of the audit engagements;
  • Lead and project manage audit engagements within agreed timelines and scope;
  • Manage and lead audit team members (including overseeing team productivity);
  • Management of Work in Progress;
  • Team Performance assessments;
  • Manage client expectations and relationships;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about firm standards, policies and regulations;
  • Grow client portfolio and identify cross selling opportunities;
  • Manage the audit budget and billings and cash collection process during audit engagements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships;
  • Minimum of 2 — 4 years’ experience within a similar role;
  • Proven track record of working on Financial Services Audits;
  • Entrepreneur;
  • Proven history of satisfactory quality/cold reviews;
  • Ability to maintain the highest technical and professional standards;
  • Motivating/ Communicating leadership style;
  • Qualified CA (SA), IRBA Attest Registered;
  • Good business developer with a good network within the financial services sector in South Africa;
  • Catalyst for change;
  • Seen by others as a role model within the audit profession;
  • Sound experience with life insurance/asset management/unit trusts;
  • CA(SA);
  • 5 years post article experience;
  • Financial services/banking experience non-negotiable.
