Senior Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the change management aspects of the project;
- Leading and motivating the project team;
- Defining of WBS and creating of project plan in MS Project or appropriate tool;
- Facilitate project effort estimation sessions;
- Take ownership for taking project/s through the quality environments at the client site;
- Develop and maintain project documentation;
- Understand the Interfront software release process and become enabled to manage multiple releases to the client;
- Facilitate High-level software design sessions;
- Interface/ interdependencies management for all aspects of project, on- as well as off-site;
- Facilitate regular project updates with project stakeholder/s;
- In assistance to a programme manager or as project manager of a project with medium complexity;
- Intellectual Property Development;
- Building ongoing relationships with line management and other company departments required to deliver the end product;
- Collaborate with Business Analyst, Systems Engineer and project stakeholders to determine and agree on project scope;
- Manage and control of project schedule using JIRA and MS Project.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the PMBOK Process Groups and Knowledge Areas;
- Computer Literacy in relevant project management packages;
- 10-15 years’ experience in Project Management in EPC and EPCM multi-disciplinary industrial environments;
- Proficient with MS Projects or similar software and MS Office applications;
- NEBOSH, SAMTRAC or similar SHE qualification(s) and a working knowledge of SHE and Quality assurance methodologies and practices;
- ECSA Registration;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective presentation skills;
- An understanding of Software design principles will be advantageous;
- MS Office skillsÂ;
- Mining Engineer qualification advantageous;
- Thorough understanding of SDLC;
- 5 years Managing projects focused on developing software components;
- Must have experience in underground mining development projectsÂ;
- Project Management certification;
- Must be able to schedule in MS Project.
