A leading organisation within the property sector is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. This role is suited to a technically strong accountant who is passionate about producing accurate financial information, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the financial success of a multi-entity business. Duties:
- Prepare and process monthly and annual journals
- Perform lease accounting and related financial adjustments
- Reconcile debtor, creditor, bank, and loan accounts
- Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances
- Reconcile supplier accounts against project payment schedules
- Review the trial balance and general ledger for accuracy
- Prepare and submit VAT, provisional tax, and annual income tax returns
- Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting standards
- Prepare monthly management reports for various entities
- BCom Accounting or related qualification essential
- Completed SAICA articles required
- Minimum 2 years' commercial accounting experience
- Property industry experience advantageous
- Experience with CaseWare essential
- Working knowledge of MDA and MRI advantageous
