Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.

Our company is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the group’s intranet is 100% operational and to co-ordinate all development items and errors as required;
  • Setup, manage and conduct yearly system training schedule with hotels;
  • Do cross-training of all roles in properties;
  • Setup and have weekly implementation call with a new hotel to keep them updated with regards to the progress of the implementation;
  • Attend weekly meetings with suppliers and meeting minutes to be taken;
  • Assist hotel representatives in updating the intranet where necessary;
  • To attend online webinar meetings or off-site system and industry-related meetings;
  • Be a support for all member properties regarding any matter of the SynXis system during weekdays as well as weekends and after hours;
  • Work closely with Development in order to fix problems with products in the field;
  • Perform maintenance on DHCP. DNS (Bind), Proxy (Squid), Switches and Routers;
  • Attend monthly director’s meetings;
  • VPN Connectivity;
  • Maintain a local APT & Custom software repository;
  • Provide second and third line with documentation and guidance on problem solving and technical assistance;
  • Research and development on products for product development.

Requirements:

  • Must pay attention to detail;
  • At least 2-3 years Active Directory experience;
  • Post Matric Certificate/ Diploma in MCSA qualification (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator);
  • Must be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines and strict turnaround times;
  • Nutanix experience;
  • Databases;
  • CompTIA A+ Technician;
  • Server support;
  • Super Micro;
  • Dell;
  • Knowledge on FCAPS and related standards such as SNMP, WMI and syslog;
  • IT Experience: At least 5 years Networks (WAN/LAN/VPN);
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE);
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE);
  • User support.
