Examine, evaluate, and investigate eligibility for or conformity with laws and regulations governing contract compliance of licenses and permits, and perform other compliance and enforcement inspection and analysis activities not classified elsewhere.

Our company is looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality control, and value add for monthly, annually and AD-HOC submission to AP MLEMEA and for the group;
  • Monitor our supply chain for any EGS concerns and work proactively with our counterparts to understand & mitigate these issues;
  • Full Accounting Function, Budgets and Forecasts for Africa;
  • Drive overall Governance and Compliance, including Finance Statutory, AFS and Taxation;
  • Coordinates the Regional Investment Controlling process;
  • Active participation in the Regions risk management , including CRMDRA and Isurnace;
  • Responsible for the Financial Accounting structures abd processes in African region, in particular the Shared Services division.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years compliance specific experience;
  • Detailed and technical expertise in areas like FICA, FAIS, DCA and NCA;
  • Matric;
  • Post graduate diploma in compliance or relevant qualification;
  • Knowledge of international (US, UK, Guernsey) financial services laws and regulations advantageous;
  • Knowledge of the financial services regulatory framework and laws (including anti-money laundering laws);
  • At least 2 years experience in a financial services compliance position;
  • Exposure to liaising with financial services regulatory bodies;
  • Paralegal diploma, bachelors degree in law or relevant compliance qualification (e.g. FAIS approved Compliance Officer);
  • Postgraduate diploma in compliance or relevant qualification.
