Our company is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team.


  • Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (e.g. kitchens, public areas etc.);
  • Management of maintenance employee relationships;
  • Plan and oversee daily, weekly maintenance duties and renovations;
  • Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards;
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers;
  • Must have the ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units;
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed;
  • Update the maintenance work order form / Job card and file them;
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments;
  • Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests;
  • Supervise, direct and manage the Maintenance team;
  • Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning systems;
  • Must have the ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy;
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.


  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and air conditioning;
  • Must have experience in hospitality establishments;
  • Must have Matric and a Mechanical/Electrical Qualification;
  • Must have the ability to follow instruction;
  • Must be Fluent in English;
  • Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in hotels or hospitality companies;
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy;
  • Must be able to work when required in emergency situations;
  • Must be able towork when required in emergency situations.
