You'll help walk-in customers at a furniture retail branch in Roodepoort, face to face, all day. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.
Location: Roodepoort, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.
What you'll actually do
- Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
- Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
- Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
- Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
- Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
Must-haves
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate
- Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
- Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
- Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
- Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers

- Speaking the main local language of your area
- RICA and cellular product knowledge
- Medical scheme or insurance product knowledge
