World Sports Betting (WSB) is looking for a dynamic, detail-orientated Assistant Regional Operations Manager to support our retail operations in Gauteng (GP) .
If you are a strong leader with retail betting experience and excellent financial acumen, this is your chance to step into a pivotal regional role.
The Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will assist in overseeing multiple WSB branches. Your focus will be on driving operational efficiency, profitability, compliance, and team performance across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Cash Monitoring: Audit daily cash reconciliations, perform random cash counts, manage branch thresholds, and identify financial irregularities.
- Staff Leadership: Manage and review branch managers, assist with KPIs, disciplinary procedures, and recruitment while fostering a positive work culture.
- Compliance & Licensing: Ensure staff registration, manage gambling/liquor/LPM licenses, and oversee FICA compliance and general auditing.
- Operations & Reporting: Conduct at least two branch visits daily (ensuring each branch is visited weekly) and compile performance reports for executive management.
- Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers in line with company procurement policies to secure the best rates.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a similar operational role, strictly within a betting company .
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate required (Tertiary education is an advantage).
- Licensing: Must have a valid South African driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Skills: Exceptional financial management, high accuracy, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
