Location: Pretoria, South Africa (Hybrid)
About the Role
Our client is a leading cybersecurity consultancy delivering penetration testing, managed security services, incident response and specialist security consulting to enterprise organisations.
They are seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to bridge the gap between customers, sales teams and technical consultants. You'll translate customer requirements into technically sound cybersecurity solutions, develop proposals, assist with solution design and support Account Managers throughout the sales lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of technical pre-sales, sales engineering or technical consulting experience who enjoys combining cybersecurity knowledge with customer engagement and commercial thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers throughout the technical sales process
- Gather and analyse customer requirements
- Design technically sound cybersecurity solutions
- Develop technical proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Respond to RFIs, RFQs and RFPs
- Present and explain cybersecurity services to customers
- Recommend appropriate security assessments and managed services
- Support Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements and demonstrations
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends and service offerings
- Collaborate with Sales, Ethical Hacking, Professional Services, Project Management and Managed Services teams
Requirements
Essential
- 1-3 years' experience in Technical Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering or Technical Consulting
- Good understanding of Information Security concepts
- Knowledge of penetration testing services
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience developing technical proposals and customer-facing documentation
- Commercial awareness and customer engagement skills
- Strong relationship-building ability
Desirable
- Ethical Hacking knowledge
- Cloud Security
- Offensive & Defensive Security
- OT Security
- Windows and Linux knowledge
- Networking fundamentals
- CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP, OSCE, CREST or CompTIA Security+
