Industrial Engineer - Operations Excellence

About the RoleOur client, a prominent manufacturing company based in Vereeniging, is seeking a results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join their team.

You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence initiatives, focusing on process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data analysis, with a proven ability to implement sustainable changes.
You will work closely with production, quality, and logistics teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions that enhance overall business performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a company committed to innovation and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.Develop and implement lean methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events.Lead and participate in Six Sigma projects to reduce defects and enhance process capability.Design and optimize production layouts and material flow for maximum efficiency.Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure successful adoption.Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide training to operational staff.Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective corrective actions.Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment to improve operational performance.Support supply chain optimization efforts, including inventory management and logistics.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on manufacturing and operations.Proven experience applying lean and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt certification preferred).
