Job Description:
- Review and analyse contract costs, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting
- Manage month-end close processes, including accruals and revenue calculations
- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Support annual budgets and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Maintain contract accounts, including labour, procurement, equipment, and reimbursable costs
- Monitor cash flow, debtor collections, billing accuracy, and DSO
- Complete monthly reconciliations and investigate variances
- Partner with Contract Managers and operational teams to provide financial support
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance requirements
- Liaise with internal, external, and client auditors
- Support, mentor, and develop finance team members
- Assist with ad hoc financial and commercial projects
Skills & Experience:
- CA(SA) with a minimum of 6 years' post-articles experience
- Experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, Engineering, or a similar project-based environment
- Exposure to African operations and cross-border business activities
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial accounting skills
- ERP experience, preferably Dynamics MS, JD Edwards, or Oracle
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong commercial mindset and stakeholder management ability
- Previous team leadership experience advantageous
- Willingness to travel into Africa several times a year
Qualification:
- CA(SA) or equivalent qualification
