Requirements:
- Strong bookkeeping experience, including maintaining ledgers, processing transactions, and performing reconciliations
- Experience with UK accounting standards and tax requirements (essential)
- Knowledge of South African accounting standards and tax requirements (essential)
- Experience processing and reviewing journal entries for accuracy
- Ability to assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and internal teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and reconcile invoices, payments, and receipts
- Maintain accurate financial records and update ledgers
- Process journal entries and ensure financial data integrity
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Prepare basic financial reports for senior accountants
- Support the preparation of financial statements
- Handle client queries relating to financial records and transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
