About the Role
Our client, a well-established financial institution headquartered in Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking an experienced Information Security Compliance Officer.
This vital role ensures that the organization adheres to all relevant information security laws, regulations, and industry standards.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, conducting audits, and advising on security best practices to mitigate risks.
The position requires a thorough understanding of compliance frameworks and a meticulous approach to detail.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps.
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during assessments.
Manage the organization's compliance with frameworks such as POPIA, GDPR, ISO *****, and others.
Provide training and guidance to employees on information security compliance requirements.
Investigate and report on compliance-related incidents and deviations.
Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities and documentation.
Advise management on security risks and mitigation strategies related to compliance.
Stay current with emerging compliance trends and best practices in information security.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security compliance, risk management, or audit.
In-depth knowledge of South African privacy laws (e.g., POPIA) and international standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO *****).
Experience in conducting security audits and risk assessments.
Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or CIPM are highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must be based in or able to commute to Randburg, Gauteng .
