ROLE PURPOSE
Assist the Riggers in the safe execution of lifting, slinging and rigging activities, supporting installation, maintenance and equipment movement tasks on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with rigging, slinging, lifting, positioning and securing of equipment, structures and materials under supervision.
- Prepare, transport, inspect and return lifting tackle, tools and rigging accessories to the store in good condition.
- Assist with erection and dismantling of temporary supports, gantries, chain blocks and jacks.
- Provide taglines, barricading, housekeeping and area preparation for lifting operations.
- Guide hoisted loads to their designated positions with precision
- Report defective lifting gear, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Comply with all SHE, permit-to-work, isolation and working-at-height requirements.
