Manager: Autobody Repair Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Manager: Autobody Repair to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating the final price for the sale, with senior management;
- Identify current product pricings, competing products and new techniques of merchandising;
- Meet set productivity objectives and comply to established action plans for achieving these set targets;
- Support the senior manager and workshop team to ensure workshop is in line with set standards;
- Oversee the processing of estimates for client orders and ensure timely delivery as commit on Estimates;
- Endeavour to increase the customer database and prospecting for potential business;
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance sales efficiency and increase generated revenue;
- To maintain a list of new/existing customers and occasionally communicate with them to discuss business opportunities;
- Maintain contact with clients to provide post-repair services, obtain customer feedback and resolve any arising customer issue;
- Creating competitive estimates for walk-in customers;
- Assist with up sale, in offering extra repairs and extra accessories once a vehicle has been chosen for initial damage repairs;
- Liaising with the workshop team to ensure completed vehicles are prepped to a high standard and are ready for delivery within the agreed timescale;
- Delegate and assist with the inspections of automobiles to ensure no damage occurred during the repair procedure and alls in good condition;
- Liaise with senior management when needed to conduct negotiations with clients to reach a profitable discount;
- Arranging vehicle inspection, when required and accompanying customers on these inspections.
Requirements:
- Computer software — used to keep track of estimates, supplements & employee work hours;
- Competency in Computer Literacy (Office, Excel, Word etc.);
- Trade qualification in either panel beating and/or spray painting;
- Matric.
