Our company is looking for a Engineer — Electronic Services — Department of Facilities Management to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance budget to ensure that the required work is completed with the available funds;
- Provide guidance to the Technical Manager and ensure that breakdown maintenance and small projects are effectively managed;
- Investigate and evaluate existing and new technologies related to the University of Pretoria’s requirements;
- Determine the user requirements related to the various electronic services applicable to the facilities management environment;
- Review commissioning procedures and attend equipment commissioning;
- Perform effective maintenance planning and execution according to business requirements;
- Ensure equipment designs are in line with the established standards and specifications;
- Ensure that designs are compliant with statutory requirements;
- Establish standards for the equipment and systems to be implemented and operated.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of the following electronic systems: CCTV systems;
- Previous management experience;
- Access Control Systems;
- Fire Detection Systems;
- Valid drivers license;
- Physically able to visit sites where great heights and difficult access are involved;
- A degree in Electonic Engineering plus six years of post qualification and relevant experience; OR;
- A National Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering plus six years of post qualification and relevant experience;
- IT networks;
- Professional registration engineering institute/council.
