Our company is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in technology and IP research and development;
  • Setting up process parameters for new products to be manufactured;
  • Accountable for turnkey projects in Technical Lead capacity;
  • Supplier and Technology identification, selection, review, and innovation;
  • Pilot plant trial design and execution;
  • Concept, Basic, and Detail process design of turnkey water and wastewater solutions and plants;
  • Carry out technical investigations, including development of computer programs, produce technical reports as and when required;
  • Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the HOD Process Engineer;
  • Advise the Lead / HOD Process Engineer of any slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action;
  • Assist, as required, in the preparation of operating manuals;
  • Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used meet the Client’s requirements and/or those issued by HOD South Africa;
  • Participate in review of project model;
  • Participate in EFD reviews, HAZOP’s and any other design reviews;
  • Provide process support to the other engineering disciplines;
  • Prepare hazardous area classification notes for review by the Lead Process Engineer.

Requirements:

  • Professionally registered with ECSA;
  • Preferably a BSc Eng or B Eng degree;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, specifically Hot rolling and Pyro metallurgy will be an advantage;
  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Over 7 years’ experience;
  • 5-10 years’ minimum experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and control;
  • ECSA Registration;
  • Proficient in CAD;
  • National diploma / Btech in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably assembly in the automotive or heavy truck industry;
  • Water treatment process solutions including biological, chemical and physio chemical processes;
  • 5+ years’ experience in client service operations, or related business and process analysis;
  • 2-3 years Process Engineering experienceÂ.
