Sous Chef | Cape Town | Boutique Hotel & Restaurant Were seeking a skilled SOUS CHEF to support the Head Chef in ensuring consistency, innovation, and operational excellence at a new boutique hotel in Mouille Point, Cape Town. The hotels restaurant will showcase modern Greek and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine ; offering guests and patrons a premium dining experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, technical mastery, and a passion for Mediterranean flavors, with proven ability in plating, cooking techniques, and team leadership. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and collaboration across the kitchen brigade are essential to deliver seamless service. Experience & Qualifications Sous chef expertise in hot and cold kitchen operations Modern Greek cuisine knowledge, including mezze, grilled specialties, and seafood Mediterranean techniques with emphasis on fresh produce, olive oil-based cooking, and seasonal flavors Menu development support for both fine-dining restaurant service and boutique hotel offerings Premium dining background preferred, with strong presentation and culinary discipline Ability to supervise sections, manage production schedules, and uphold international standards Key Responsibilities Kitchen operations : Assist the Head Chef in managing daily service and production Team supervision : Train, mentor, and oversee junior chefs to ensure consistency and excellence Quality control : Maintain high standards in taste, presentation, and hygiene across all dishes Collaboration : Work closely with the Head Chef and restaurant team to align menus with the modern Greek and Mediterranean concept Inventory management : Monitor stock levels, ordering, and cost control Innovation : Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menus and signature dishes Event support : Assist in bespoke menu development for hotel events, banquets, and private dining Salary Package R12 20 000, depending on experience and skills no additional benefits To apply for Sous Chef | Cape Town | Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, please send your CV WITH UP-TO-DATE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY AND INSERTED FULL-LENGTH PHOTO.
