The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and monitoring SHEQ systems, legal compliance, workplace safety, environmental controls and quality processes. Minimum Requirements SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, NOSA or Diploma/Certificate in Safety Management advantageous Environmental or Quality-related training will be an advantage Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in SHEQ systems, compliance and auditing Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Strong administrative and report-writing skills Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor OHS requirements and related regulations Conduct workplace inspections and identify hazards and non-conformances Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations Support risk assessments, HIRA and safe work procedures Monitor PPE compliance and contractor safety requirements Assist with safety inductions, toolbox talks and Safety Committee meetings Support environmental management plans, waste management and environmental controls Assist with environmental incident reporting and corrective actions Support quality procedures, internal audits and corrective action tracking Maintain document control, SHEQ records, registers and files Assist with legal compliance audits and ISO management systems Compile SHEQ reports and statistics Competencies Highly organised and meticulous Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Good problem-solving abilities Comfortable communicating with employees at all levels Strong understanding of SHEQ systems and legal compliance Good report-writing skills
