My client, a forward-thinking orginisation within the information technology space, is looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to take ownership of a cross-functional development team and drive delivery excellence.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior developer or technical lead who thrives on combining hands-on engineering thinking with people leadership. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning engineering output with product goals, improving development practices, and creating an environment where developers can do their best work.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and coaching
- Own delivery outcomes by managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and execution of roadmap items
- Ensure high-quality engineering practices including testing, documentation, and code standards
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and other technical teams to ensure alignment and resolve dependencies
- Track and improve team performance metrics such as velocity, throughput, and quality
- Facilitate technical decision-making aligned with architectural goals
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process enhancements
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Experience
- 5+ years in software engineering (essential)
- Minimum 1–2 years in a leadership, mentoring, or team lead capacity
- Proven experience working in agile environments and managing software delivery
- Experience building and maintaining high-performing development teams
Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
- Ability to balance technical delivery with people management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
