Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to operational finance and requires an individual who is comfortable working closely with production and supply chain teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing costs, maintaining costing structures and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to broaden their manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Perform standard costing and variance analysis
- Analyse production costs and profitability
- Assist with inventory valuation and stock reporting
- Prepare cost reports and financial analysis for management
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Degree
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Cost Accounting role
- Manufacturing experience is essential
- CIMA studies advantageous
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with BOMs, standard costing and variance analysis
