Event & Venue Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, energetic and customer-focused Event & Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our venue while planning and coordinating a variety of weddings and events. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of venue operations to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment. Plan; coordinate and execute weddings and events from initial enquiry through to completion. Meet with clients to understand their wedding and event requirements and provide tailored solutions. Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and schedules. Coordinate with suppliers and venue based caterer Develop and manage wedding and event timelines and logistics. Oversee venue setup, event execution and breakdown, ensuring high service standards. Supervise venue staff Ensure compliance with health, safety, and venue regulations. Manage venue bookings and maintain the events calendar. Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor inventory and coordinate maintenance of venue facilities and equipment. Promote the venue to attract new clients and increase bookings. Requirements A South African Resident Matric / Grade 12 qualification Be fluent in English and Afrikaans (Verbal & written) Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Management or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years experience in event coordination, venue management, hospitality or a similar role. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously. Valid driver's license with own reliable car. Ideally live in close proximity of Stellenbosch or surrounding areas.
