Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of municipal water infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in civil engineering and project management to oversee projects from planning through to completion while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects from initiation to close-out.
- Develop project scopes, programmes, schedules, budgets, and delivery plans.
- Coordinate engineers, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and programme.
- Manage project risks, variations, claims, and change control.
- Oversee quality assurance, inspections, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and municipal regulations.
- Prepare project reports and communicate progress with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, handover processes, and final client sign-off.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years' experience in civil or water infrastructure projects.
- 3–5 years' experience in a project management role.
- Experience with municipal water infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment works.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, and GCC contracts.
- Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and project forecasting.
- Professional registration as Pr.CPM with SACPCMP will be advantageous.
