The role offers practical experience and professional growth within a supportive setting.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily bookkeeping and recording of financial transactions.Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments.Assist with the preparation of accounts receivable statements and collections.Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.Prepare basic financial reports and schedules as directed by the Accountant or Financial Manager.Assist with inventory costing and related financial analysis.Ensure compliance with company policies and basic financial regulations.Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.RequirementsNational Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management.1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn.Residency or willingness to relocate to Upington .
