The Portfolio Implementation team models portfolio manager–driven investment views, facilitates tactical trade instructions, monitors asset allocations and cash balances, and manages portfolio constructions and liquidations. The team works in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where accuracy and clear communication are paramount to success. The team collaborates closely with multiple departments across the business, including portfolio managers, traders, operations, compliance and client onboarding.

Portfolio Implementation is a global team, with desks based in London, Hong Kong, Cape Town and New York working as a single, connected function. Working hours for this role are aligned to the UK business day.

• Partner with portfolio managers and traders to efficiently implement investment views across Multi-Asset and Money Market portfolios, with an expectation to support other capabilities as required
• Oversee trade orders from inception to completion
• Develop expertise in the order management system and actively seek to improve processes
• Oversee fund cash flows, rebalancing of portfolios, and ongoing monitoring of asset allocations, cash positions, and foreign exchange sweeps
• Manage cash within all relevant portfolios, placing cash out on overnight deposit or other such suitable money market instruments
• Manage currency hedging for all relevant portfolios, including necessary rolls and adjustments
• Manage derivative rolls, such as futures, interest rate swaps and credit default swaps
• Build a deep understanding of investment mandates and monitor portfolio compliance with investment guidelines and regulatory restrictions
• Maintain and continuously develop procedures to ensure they remain current and fit for purpose
• Embrace AI tools such as Claude, and bring curiosity to how these can be used to streamline legacy processes
• Manage portfolio transitions and restructures, delivering optimal outcomes for clients

Essential

• A relevant degree
• Strong investment knowledge with a keen interest in financial markets and instruments
• Robust problem-solving abilities

Advantageous

• Experience in portfolio implementation across equity, fixed income and money markets, including derivatives
• Experience with Charles River
• Experience managing portfolio transitions, restructures, or asset transfers
• Experience using coding or automation tools (e.g. Python, VBA, Power Automate) to streamline repetitive tasks
• Familiarity with Bloomberg
