An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth for a high-potential energy business. This role is suited to a commercially astute leader who can execute an ambitious growth strategy, build a high-performing executive team, and establish a market-leading, investment-ready organisation. - Develop and execute the company's long-term growth strategy.
- Build, lead and inspire a world-class executive leadership team.
- Establish a scalable, investable energy business with strong governance and operational excellence.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, regulators and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead fundraising initiatives and secure financing to support business growth.
- Navigate the South African and broader African regulatory landscape.
- Drive financial performance, operational excellence and sustainable profitability.
- Represent the business at board level, with investors and across the energy industry.
- CA(SA) qualification is essential.
- Minimum 15 years' executive leadership experience, with significant exposure to the energy, oil, gas or petroleum sector.
- Demonstrated success in building, scaling or transforming an energy business.
- Proven experience executing business growth strategies and delivering commercial results.
- Strong understanding of the South African and African energy markets.
- Established network within the South African and African energy, regulatory and financing ecosystem.
- Experience engaging with investors, lenders, regulators and government stakeholders.
- Exceptional strategic, commercial and leadership capabilities.
