We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Manager & CRM to join our Business Development & Client Service team. This is a mid to senior level position focused on key business development, operational and communication outcomes. You will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional experience to our clients and prospective clients, ensuring seamless reporting, rapid inquiry turnaround, and reliable operational support on a one-year contract potentially convertible to fulltime employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Institutional Growth: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across retirement funds, consultants, and institutional investors.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted contact for existing clients, managing ongoing queries, reporting, and high-level due diligence.
- Proposals & RFPs: Drive the end-to-end preparation of RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, and presentation materials.
- Market Engagement: Represent Aeon Investment Management’s investment philosophy, ESG achievements, and views to external stakeholders and prospective stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, distribution, or client relationship management within a South African asset management firm.
- Education: Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, or Investment Management. CFA designation and RE5 qualification is highly advantageous. Effective use of AI is essential.
- Attributes: Proactive self-starter with strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to high-performance outcomes.
