Retail Sales Assistant
Retail Sales Assistants keep the store running smoothly and customers happy in a fast-paced retail environment focused on footwear, apparel, and accessories.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and guide them to the right products
- Give product advice and help customers find the correct size and fit
- Operate tills: process payments, check prices, and bag items
- Keep the shop floor clean, safe, and easy to move around
- Return stray items to the right place and manage trolleys/baskets
- Support promotions and visual displays on the shop floor
- Share store offers and activities with customers
- Help load purchases into customers’ vehicles when needed
- Assist with showing new staff how things are done once experienced
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Solid customer service mindset and willingness to go the extra mile
- Ability to follow instructions and stay organised during busy periods
- Alert to what needs doing without being asked (e.g. empty shelves, long queues)
- Fast learner when it comes to new products and procedures
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Strong teamwork skills and clear communication
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move stock for most of the shift
- Flexibility to work extra hours during peak trading times
