- Matric, bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, Honours Degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Completed SAICA Articles
- 2 - 3 years’ post-articles experience
- Exposure to retail, FMCG or QSR environments advantageous
- Strong knowledge of SARS compliance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage, Xero, etc.)
- POS systems experience advantageous
DUTIES
- Prepare and present monthly financial results per store and consolidated group
- Analyse store-level profitability (sales, food costs, labour, overheads)
- Monitor key cost drivers including food, labour, and expenses
- Ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation and cash control processes
- Ensure SARS compliance (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
- Oversee audit readiness and internal controls
- Develop and maintain SOPs for finance and store processes
- Design and enhance financial and operational reporting
- Manage creditors, debtors, and accounting staff
- Monitor cash flow and working capital across stores
