- Operational Accounting Leadership: Direct and optimize the full accounts payable lifecycle, while personally reviewing and approving complex balance sheet and sub-ledger reconciliations.
- Cross-Departmental Revenue Alignment: Partner closely with the internal revenue and billing teams to guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, and validity of commercial income reporting.
- Financial Reporting & Intelligence: Compile, evaluate, and present thorough monthly and annual financial statements, delivering deep analytical insights and variance summaries to executive management.
- Month-End & Year-End Stewardship: Oversee the smooth execution of closing cycles under tight timelines, ensuring absolute readiness for both internal reporting and external annual audits.
- Process Engineering & Controls: Identify operational inefficiencies to introduce modern process improvements, while enforcing strict adherence to internal financial controls and corporate procedures.
- A completed BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance is non-negotiables. An Honours Degree or CTA in Accounting will be considered a powerful professional advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-articles commercial accounting experience, with mandatory, practical exposure gained strictly within the transport, logistics, or manufacturing sectors.
- Advanced operational command of Microsoft Excel (including absolute comfort with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data modeling) alongside mandatory experience utilizing Sage accounting software.
- Exceptional logical problem-solving capabilities, a meticulous eye for detail, and the refined communication skills necessary to manage diverse internal and external stakeholders under high-pressure deadlines.
