Clinical Training Specialist, Theatre Trained

A specialist training opportunity is available in the East Rand for a nursing professional with theatre expertise and a passion for developing clinical capability. The role combines education, facilitation, assessment and clinical leadership within the theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate clinical training programmes for theatre nursing staff.
- Identify competency and development gaps and implement appropriate training interventions.
- Facilitate theoretical and practical learning within the clinical environment.
- Conduct competency assessments and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Support the orientation and ongoing development of theatre nursing personnel.
- Maintain accurate training, assessment and competency records.
- Ensure educational initiatives align with nursing practice standards, legislation and organisational requirements.
- Work closely with clinical leaders and unit managers to identify training needs.
- Support the implementation of change initiatives and new clinical practices.
- Promote continuous professional development and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a Theatre specialisation.
- Post-registration nursing experience within a relevant healthcare environment.
- Current registration with SANC.
- Registered Assessor with SANC.
- Proven clinical leadership expertise.
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation governing nursing practice.
- Sound knowledge of nursing education systems and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of change management principles.
- Strong facilitation and assessment skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and facilitate learning programmes within a clinical environment.
