A cleaning contractor in Richards Bay needs dependable cleaners for a shopping centre. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.
The site is in Richards Bay; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.
What your day looks like
- Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift
- Refill toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers
- Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
- Clean glass doors and internal windows without streaks
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors following the daily cleaning schedule
- Report broken fittings, leaks or empty stock to the site supervisor
- Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip
What you need
- Grade 10 or higher
- Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items
- Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
- Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
- You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
Nice if you have
- Chemical handling training from a supplier or contractor
- Tea service or kitchen experience
