External Sales Representative (Wholesale FMCG)

A leading wholesale and processing facility dedicated to quality and excellence within the food industry. Permanent Sales Representative required to drive sales growth, expand the wholesale client base, and build strong customer relationships within the Richards Bay region. Key responsibilities
R23 000 CTC per month plus company vehicle and company cellphone. (Note: This role does not offer a commission structure). ***Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.***
- Drive consistent sales growth and meet or exceed revenue targets by prospecting new clients and closing deals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesale customers through regular meetings, check-ins, and tailored strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry standards, drafting weekly market activity reports for management.
- Develop and execute effective sales plans, tracking performance and submitting comprehensive reports.
- Manage sales territory, time, and client visit routes efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and timely, accurate order fulfillment.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, service teams, and stakeholders.
- Adhere strictly to all legal, regulatory, safety, and food safety standards, including HACCP and hygiene protocols.
- Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Desirable qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Exposure and in-depth knowledge of the meat industry, including cuts, quality standards, and processing methods, will be a distinct advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Meat Matrix.
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations (such as HACCP) relevant to the meat industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid administrative capabilities.
- Target-driven and self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.
- Resilient, adaptable to change, and capable of functioning under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
