Corporate Compliance Officer

About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Compliance Officer to join their team in Stellenbosch.
This role is essential for ensuring the company adheres to all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across the organization, identifying potential risks, and advising management on best practices.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the company's operations and a commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct, playing a key role in maintaining the company's reputation and operational integrity within the vibrant academic and business community of Stellenbosch.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement corporate compliance policies and procedures.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments across all departments.
Monitor changes in legislation and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
Provide training to employees on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate compliance or legal role.
In-depth knowledge of relevant South African laws and regulations (e.g., POPIA, Companies Act).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills.
