PMO Coordinator

Our client is seeking a PMO Coordinator to join their team in Bellville, Western Cape. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn will take you far in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors, ensuring clear communication.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and acceptance criteria through quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct project closure activities including lessons learned sessions, final reporting, and handover of deliverables to operations.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using project management software, identifying critical path activities and tracking progress.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and develop comprehensive project charters and plans.
  • Manage project changes through a formal change control process, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget before approval.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity in the relevant industry sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Monday.com for planning and tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to make sound judgements under pressure.
  • A recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or CAPM from an accredited certification body.

Qualifications

Postgraduate Diploma in Programme or Project Management
