Solutions Specialist

As a TMS Solutions Expert, you will serve as the bridge between business operations and technology, ensuring the effective support, optimisation, and enhancement of transport management solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoot complex application issues, and implement solutions that improve performance and user experience. This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted expert within a specialised systems environment while collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and business users to deliver long-term value and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for transport management and related business applications
• Support, configure, maintain, and optimise business-critical systems
• Analyse business requirements and recommend effective technology solutions
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated application-related issues
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
• Collaborate with vendors, support teams, and business stakeholders to resolve system challenges
• Assist with application upgrades, testing, and implementation activities
• Develop and maintain support documentation and knowledge base resources
• Participate in user acceptance testing for new systems, upgrades, and enhancements
• Support system integration initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Deliver user guidance and training where required

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Degree or qualification in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field advantageous
• Proven experience working with Transport Management SystemsStrong experience supporting, configuring, and maintaining business applications
• Experience within logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or transport environments advantageous
• Exposure to system implementation, testing, and user support activities
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and solution design
• Ability to translate operational requirements into practical technology solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of SQL reporting and data analysis advantageous
• Experience with Power BI beneficial
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment to service excellence
• Experience delivering user training advantageous
• Quick learner with strong analytical thinking abilities
• Willingness and ability to travel when required
• Valid passport required
