Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide end-to-end application systems design, ensuring alignment between business requirements, architectural standards, and optimal resource utilisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with organisational strategy, with a strong focus on Java-based backend systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of robust, scalable, and secure application architectures Translate business requirements into technical solution designs Ensure alignment of architecture with enterprise standards and governance frameworks Balance functional requirements with performance, cost, and resource considerations Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and enterprise architects Guide and support development teams throughout the solution lifecycle Ensure integration of systems across complex enterprise environments Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture practices and standards Must-Have Skills & Experience Strong Java backend development experience Advanced experience in Java J2EE and/or Spring Boot Proven experience in Solution Architecture within enterprise environments Strong understanding of system design, integration patterns, and API development Experience working in complex, large-scale financial or enterprise systems Nice to Have Experience within banking or financial services environments Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices architecture Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
