Senior Accountant

Job description:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Process and review monthly accounting entries and journals
- Perform Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Oversee fixed asset registers and related reconciliations
- Review VAT reconciliations, submissions and payments
- Prepare and review accruals and provisions
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Assist the Financial Manager with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
- Minimum 3-5 years' of relevant accounting experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- BCom Accounting or related degree
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles advantageous
