Junior Accountant (Contract)

Duties:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and process journal entries
Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
Investigate and resolve reconciling items and financial discrepancies
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
Support internal and external audit processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Perform general finance and administrative duties as required
Requirements:
National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
13 years' experience in a Junior Accountant or similar finance role
Proven experience performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
Sound knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP systems
Familiarity with the following:

Accounting Principles

ERP systems
