Our primary function is to facilitate skills development through learning programs like learnerships, skills programs, internships and other learning programs. We do this by disbursing grants to employers and skills development providers to offer training to employed and unemployed learners. As delegated by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), our role includes overseeing occupation-based training. People of all ages need to learn new skills. Others are already working but need to develop their skills and advance their careers. Others require new skills to gain employment. The services sector contributes more than a quarter of South AfricaâÃÂÃÂs GDP, with more than 3 million people employed. For the sector to thrive and grow, it requires competent and skilled workers. By facilitating and funding programs that build skills-sets required by the services industries (the workplace), the Services SETA bridges the gap between formal education and training. To fulfil its functions, the Services SETA partners with public and private learning institutions to deliver the training required.Description Implement Systems and Tools to Facilitate Submission, Registration and Completion of Learners on Employer Funded Skills Development Verification of all submitted learner documentation Provide feedback to the employer on the outcome of the learner verifications Follow up on remediation requirements of learner documentation Recommend the outcome of verification of learner documentation to the Senior Officer Respond to queries related to Employer Funded Skills Programmes Maintain employers' details Collect, capture, and analyse information for review purposes Ensure compliance to data control measures Achievement of Work Plans Execute work plans and drive the evidence collection in real time Produce reports against the implementation of work plans Respond to audit findings with complete evidence, on time Implement documented data management practices Comply to policies and procedures in the unit Record, file, and ensure the availability of information Requirements National Senior Certificate or equivalent, at a minimum NQF Level 4 Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Training and Development (ETD), or related field is required 2-3 years of experience in a skills development capacity
