Cost Accountant

Job description :
- Analyse and monitor product, operational and project costs
- Prepare cost reports and profitability analyses
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor inventory costing and stock reconciliations
- Review and maintain standard costing models
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations to management
- Assist with month-end reporting and costing journals
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Support pricing and margin analysis initiatives
- Collaborate with operational teams to improve cost efficiency
- Minimum 2-5 years' of Cost Accounting, Management Accounting or Financial Analysis experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with costing models and variance analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- BCom Accounting, Management Accounting or related degree
- CIMA studies advantageous
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles advantageous
