Mobile Camp & River Operations Manager | Uganda

? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is recruiting on behalf of a well-established safari and adventure tourism operator in Uganda, for an experienced and operationally driven ?????? ???? & ????? ?????????? ???????. Our client is a respected operator within the East African adventure and safari tourism space, running a combination of mobile camp and river-based safari activities in one of the continents most spectacular national park settings. With approximately 45 staff across the operation, they deliver premium wildlife and wilderness experiences to discerning international guests. This is a senior, hands-on operations role with real responsibility and scope. Reporting to the Country Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the full operation from mobile camp setups, breakdowns, and logistics, through to the daily scheduling and safe execution of all boat and river excursion activities. The role spans fleet and equipment management (including marine vessels and outboard engines), safety compliance and SOP development, HR and team leadership, financial oversight, and the consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences across all touchpoints. ???????????? At least 5 years of operations management experience within a safari lodge, bush camp, or adventure tourism environment. Demonstrable experience managing marine, boating, or river safari activities understanding of vessel operations and water-based safety is essential. Proven ability to lead and manage large operational teams ( Comfortable working in remote and logistically complex environments Sound knowledge of safety management, emergency response planning, and the development and enforcement of SOPs. Strong logistical and organisational ability able to coordinate multiple moving parts simultaneously without dropping the ball. Financially literate with competence in budgeting, cost control, and administrative reporting. Excellent communication and guest relations skills; able to maintain premium standards under pressure. Valid driving licence. Fluent in English. Marine operations or skipper certification will be a distinct advantage. Prior experience in East African safari tourism will be favourably considered.
