The work, day to day
- Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
- Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
- Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
- Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
- Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
- Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Must-haves
- Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
- Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Clean criminal record and no pending cases
- At least 2 years in guarding or response
- SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Helpful, not essential
- First-aid Level 2 or 3
- Advanced driving course
