Bookkeeper

An established organisation within the education sector is seeking a Finance Administrator to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in managing the debtor's function while supporting broader financial administration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full debtors and accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of outstanding fees.
• Monitor and maintain student accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and implement effective collection strategies to minimise outstanding debt.
• Engage professionally with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to resolve account queries and payment-related matters.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end financial processes.
• Prepare debtor reports, age analyses, and other financial information for management review.
• Support the administration and tracking of company assets.
• Assist with the accounts payable function, including invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Provide general finance and administrative support to the finance team.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Certificate, Diploma, or qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in a finance administration, debtors, accounts receivable, or credit control role.
• Previous experience within a school, educational institution, or similar environment will be highly advantageous.
• Proven experience managing high-volume debtor accounts and collections.
