Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate technical and shop drawings from architectural plans.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, BOQs and detailed costing estimates.
- Calculate material, glass and aluminium quantities.
- Assist with the procurement of required materials.
- Compile cutting lists and issue drawings to the factory assembly line.
- Monitor the quality and progress of items being manufactured.
- Compile daily progress reports.
- Support projects from tender stage through to installation.
- Assist with tendering processes and cost estimation.
- Attend site meetings when required to establish site conditions and take accurate measurements.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure drawings, quantities and project requirements are accurately communicated.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Estimator or Draughtsman within the aluminium, glazing or façade sector.
- Proven experience preparing quotations, tenders, BOQs and costing estimates.
- Strong knowledge of glass, aluminium systems, shopfronts and curtain walling .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD .
- Experience with Starfront, Logikal or Revit will be advantageous.
- A qualification in Draughting or a related technical field, such as MDDOP or Engineering Draughting , will be a bonus.
- Strong mathematical, technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate them into practical manufacturing drawings.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of the aluminium and glass industry, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across estimating, draughting, procurement and manufacturing support , with the ability to follow projects through from tender to installation.Vacancy posted 1 day ago
